FB3X Drabble Cascade #54 - Word of the week is 'purple'

This post is suitable for all.

Fantasy Boys XXX Drabble Cascade

We've been going for a whole year. Thank you to everyone who has taken part so far.

Welcome to FB3X Drabble Cascade #54 - This week's word of the week is 'purple'.

The Way A Cascade Works

it's really very simple, be inspired by our word of the week and just write :).

To see this week's entries check out the list at the bottom of this post. We put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up your scrolling.

A drabble is a work of 100 words exactly. Flash fiction is a work of up to 500 words. Both may be submitted to the cascade.

To those struck by inspiration (and no you don't have to be a professional writer to join in, anyone can embrace their inner author):
  • Below you will find a chance to join in the cascade in the form of a linked list
    • Write a drabble/flash fiction inspired by the word of the week.
    • Post the fiction to your own blog, or website
    • Then insert a link into the linked list to that drabble/flash fiction for everyone to find (A hint of the genre of your drabble in the title of your post would be appreciated.)
    • To encourage your friends to join in and hence cascade the fun, you can also add the list into your own post by clicking on the chain-link icon and copying the code:).
For folks who enjoy reading drabbles/flash fiction: you can then peruse the cascade to your heart's content :).

So What Can You Write?
The simple answer is - anything! Our work here on FB3X will be erotically themed. but feel free to take the inspiration any way you want to, fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, meta, since variety is the spice of life!

~

List.ly is slightly different from other lists, like Simply Linked, rather than supplying your email address, the first time you add an item to the Drabble Cascade list, you'll be asked to create a user on list.ly, which will then allow you to edit any list item you create on any list.ly list thereafter.

If you really, really don't want to create a list.ly user, then we can add your link for you, just add a comment with the url of your drabble to this post.

Fantasy Boys XXX Theme Reveal for A to Z Challenge 2014 - Drabblerotic 2014

The A to Z Blogging Challenge starts in just a very small number of days (there's still time to sign up) and there are loads of folks already signed up, so it should be an interesting month! :) As part of the fun, FB3X is joining in the A to Z Theme Reveal Blog Hop (for more entrants to this hop, check out the main post), where we commit to our theme for the month!

Since Drabblerotic proved popular last year, we're running it again, and, as part of our regular FB3X feature, Drabble Cascades, we're encouraging anyone who wants to to join in with us :)

Our word theme this year is objects, so, we at FB3X are going to write you a drabble (exactly 100 words) every day of the A to Z challenge, based on the alphabetized objects in the table below. We challenge you to get your thinking caps on as well, and be inspired by our 26 words and join us every day, adding your drabbles to the list.ly list at the bottom of the post, or in the comments to the post - we don't mind where you post, we'd just like to see how the muse takes y'all. :)

TLW Lexicon - A Literary Festival for Readers & Writers! 15th & 16th March 2014

TLW Lexicon 15th & 16th March 2014
Next weekend is going to be fab, because it's the event we've been looking forward to since Graham Guy announced it - The TLW Lexicon 2014 is upon us.

A literary festival for both readers and writers, the TLW Lexicon boasts a great line up: screenwriter, Christopher Colton; editor, writer, tutor Katy Darby; best-selling author, Stephen Deas; author and editor Cherry Potts; prize-winning author, Stewart Ross; author Bartle Sawbridge; author, screenwriter Ben Slythe; and, of course, author, photographer and the man responsible for the festival, Graham Guy.

Plus, another reason we're really excited about this event is that, Tasha, and Sophie, who run Wittegen Press and FB3X, are also featuring during the festival. We're going to be on the main stage both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, we're, talking about Self-publishing vs Indie Publishing, where we'll be discussing why we set up our own publisher, and some hints in and tips on going it alone in the publishing world. On Sunday, we're talking about Building Worlds and Building Audiences. Plus, of course, we'll be hanging around the festival at other times, joining in the start of the day panels and listening to the other panellists. Plus, we'd love to meet people and talk about books :).

There's also signings, a chance to meet all the authors and business stalls as well, and it's all for only £1 to get in.

Oh yes, finally, you probably want to know where all this is happening: The TLW Lexicon is taking place on 15th and 16th March 2014 at the Alexander Centre Faversham, Kent, UK. There's a great train service to Faversham, straight down from London, and also it's just off the M2.

For more details of how to get to the event, and much more information about all the happenings, check out the TLW Lexicon's website.
