FB3X Drabble Cascade #62 - word of the week is 'cork'

Fantasy Boys XXX Drabble Cascade

Welcome to FB3X Drabble Cascade #62 - This week's word of the week is 'cork'.

Suitable for all.
The Way A Cascade Works

it's really very simple, be inspired by our word of the week and just write :).

To see this week's entries check out the list at the bottom of this post. We put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up your scrolling.

A drabble is a work of 100 words exactly. Flash fiction is a work of up to 500 words. Both may be submitted to the cascade. So What Can You Write? The simple answer is - anything! Our work here on FB3X will be erotically themed. but feel free to take the inspiration any way you want to, fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, meta, since variety is the spice of life!

To those struck by inspiration (and no you don't have to be a professional writer to join in, anyone can embrace their inner author):
  • Below you will find a chance to join in the cascade in the form of a linked list
    • Write a drabble/flash fiction inspired by the word of the week.
    • Post the fiction to your own blog, social media, or website
    • Then insert a link into the linked list to that drabble/flash fiction for everyone to find (A hint of the genre of your drabble/flash fiction in the title of your post would be appreciated.), e.g. A Little Bit of Fun (PG, Science Fiction)
    • To encourage your friends to join in and hence cascade the fun, you can also add the list into your own post by copying the code.
  • OR you can just write us something in the comments :)
For folks who enjoy reading drabbles/flash fiction: you can then peruse the cascade to your heart's content :).

AND NOW - on to the fiction :)

Never Before (PG13, m/m Fantasy)
by Sophie Duncan

Author's Note

This drabble came out of a thought of how a cork bobs around on water.

~

His pleasure rose to the top of his senses like a cork bobbing to the surface of a pool, sending out ripples of desire through his body and soul. He'd never felt anyone so closely, so intimately. Daniel's presence slipped through him as his lover's lips pressed up his breastbone kiss by slow, wondrous kiss. Helplessly, he moaned his deepest desires.

They had called him monster, they had shied from his gaze that saw all anyway. Never had there been one without fear, one who had called him beautiful, not until Daniel. And that was the greatest pleasure of all.

The Good Stuff (PG, m/m, Fantasy)
by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Author's Note

Corks totally means champagne :).
~

The pop of another champagne cork distracted David for a few moments, but then a finger touched his chin, turning his head back towards his companion.

"If you want some, Lover," the beautiful man sitting opposite said, "all you have to do is ask."

At first David frowned, for a moment he couldn't remember how he came to be here in the bar. Then the other man smiled and it seemed only right to smile back.

"Thanks," he replied, "I've never tried the good stuff."

Even the hint of pearly white fangs couldn't bring back the transitory feeling of alarm.

  3. Never Before - Trying to put a name to the monster, Argos of the many eyes? Never really thought of a monster with all-seeing eyes. Daniel's blind?

The Good Stuff - now you see, I would have expected that David was 'the good stuff' and he's about to have his cork popped after he's had enough champagne to spike his blood.

    1. I was thinking of more figuratively than physically when it came to 'monster', but physically works too :) He sees things people don't want him to see and he's finally met someone who doesn't care.
