FB3X Drabble Cascade #63 - word of the week is 'errant'

Fantasy Boys XXX Drabble Cascade

Welcome to FB3X Drabble Cascade #63 - This week's word of the week is 'errant'.

Suitable for all.
The Way A Cascade Works

it's really very simple, be inspired by our word of the week and just write :).

To see this week's entries check out the list at the bottom of this post. We put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up your scrolling.

A drabble is a work of 100 words exactly. Flash fiction is a work of up to 500 words. Both may be submitted to the cascade. So What Can You Write? The simple answer is - anything! Our work here on FB3X will be erotically themed. but feel free to take the inspiration any way you want to, fiction, fanfiction, non-fiction, meta, since variety is the spice of life!

To those struck by inspiration (and no you don't have to be a professional writer to join in, anyone can embrace their inner author):
  • Below you will find a chance to join in the cascade in the form of a linked list
    • Write a drabble/flash fiction inspired by the word of the week.
    • Post the fiction to your own blog, social media, or website
    • Then insert a link into the linked list to that drabble/flash fiction for everyone to find (A hint of the genre of your drabble/flash fiction in the title of your post would be appreciated.), e.g. A Little Bit of Fun (PG, Science Fiction)
    • To encourage your friends to join in and hence cascade the fun, you can also add the list into your own post by copying the code.
  • OR you can just write us something in the comments :)
For folks who enjoy reading drabbles/flash fiction: you can then peruse the cascade to your heart's content :).

AND NOW - on to the fiction :)

Not Here! (PG13, m/m, Paranormal Fantasy)
by Sophie Duncan

Author's Note

So some people may think of knights when they hear errant, but I thought wandering, and then this happened ;P

~

Gerry had a serious case of wandering hands. Fine when they were alone. However, under the table at a restaurant in the company of his family meant Josiah was wriggling and hoping Mama wouldn't notice the heat to his face, or, Hades forbid, the bulge in his trousers: mortifying for a vampire his age. Keeping the evidence of his almost mortal lack of control tucked way under the table, Josiah swatted at Gerry's fingers as they slid up his inner thigh.

His sister grinned at him, fangs showing. Then sipped her bloodwine. Of course she would notice, she'd introduced them!

Night Errant (R, m/m, Fantasy)
by Natasha Duncan-Drake

Author's Note
When I saw the word errant this is immediately what popped into my head - I could not resist. Hope you enjoy.
~

The night was as black as pitch and the firelight made no impact on the darkness beyond the camp. It was like a wall around them, but Trent barely cared as his new companion ploughed into him with abandon.

He was pretty sure chivalrous knights weren't supposed to bugger their comrades silly only hours after meeting, but then neither were apprentice mages. His magic was already stirring along with his need. Maybe he should have mentioned that might happen?

Then again as long as he remembered to channel it when the time came, it might set their quest off nicely.

  3. Not Here! -Siblings can be so much fun. *grins* No doubt she's pleased at the success of her manipulations. Gerry doesn't seem to have any manners in company or maybe the wandering hands are part of the games they play.

Night Errant- *grins* Great word play and appropriate. What better way to bond before going off on a quest.

    1. The wandering hands are certainly part of the games Gerry plays ;P - maybe he knows if he gets Josiah all hot and bothered there'll be fun after the dinner party!
