The Way Drabblerotic Works

it's really very simple. We'll write a drabble every day inspired by our word of the day and we want you to be inspired too, just write :). Our theme this year is
Animal Magnetism
And we're being inspired by the fauna of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Our word today is
O is for Otter.

Proposal (m/m, PG13, Fantasy)
by Sophie Duncan

Author's Note

Otters are playful creatures who love water, and I reminded of the way they can just float effortless in the current when I was thinking of this story

~

Ethan giggled and ducked back under the water, his pale buttocks breaking the river’s surface as he dived. Bob quickly followed, He grabbed for the ankle kicking away from him and, fingers closing, pulled upwards. Ethan did not fight, floating back into his arms and they rose to the air once more body to body.

Bob leant backwards, floating them both gently in the current and gazing at the blue sky. It was time.

“Love,” he began, his pulse quickening, “will you marry me?”

Mad splashing answered him and for a second, he worried. Then he saw a wide smile.

    4. Love this. Just the right amount of titillation in the imagery and the sweet romance at the end.

    5. This made me smile. Lovely. Thank you for the imagery. It makes me want to go swimming, if sadly alone. I can float like I'm related to otters (or manatees based on my middle-aged shape ~grin~).
